What is Pass the Shell?

Pass the Shell is a small, community kindness project. Little turtle tokens are hidden in public places for anyone to find.

Each turtle carries a QR code. Scan it and you'll see the story so far: notes and photos from everyone who found this particular turtle before you.

How it works

1. Find a turtle out in the world.
2. Scan its QR code to open its page.
3. Read the notes left by past finders.
4. Leave a short, kind note, and a photo if you'd like. A hello, a memory, whatever made your day better.
5. Pass it on: hide it for the next stranger to find, or better yet, hand it directly to someone who could use a lift.

A note on privacy

We don't ask for your name, email, or any account. If you choose to share your location, we only store a general area, like a neighborhood name. Never your exact coordinates. Notes are briefly reviewed before appearing publicly to keep things kind and spam-free.
